Year 4 MTC Workshop

In the Spring term, we welcomed parent and carers of our Year 4 pupils in for a Multiplication Table Check workshop. Here we detailed how the statutory test will run, what the children will be required to do, demonstrated  what activities we are doing in school to prepare the children and fun ways they can support their child at home.

However, the highlight for us had to be the parents brave enough to take their child on in a Child V Parent times table battle, with lets just say… some mixed results for the grown ups!!!

Safer Internet Day 2026

On Tuesday 10th February, Moorcroft Wood joined thousands of schools around the country in celebrating Safer Internet Day.

It was wonderful to welcome our parents and carers into school for a really valuable workshop on online gaming, with thoughtful discussions around current trends, potential risks and how we can best support our children online. If you were unable to join this session, we have included some key information and sites that will support you better understand online gaming and your child’s use of it on our Online Safety page.

After this online gaming workshop, parent and carers joined their children in their Safer Internet Day lesson taking part in activities exploring this year’s theme: “Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI.” Learning together made the experience even more meaningful.
