Pupil Leadership
Welcome to the Pupil Leadership Team at Moorcroft Wood Academy! Our team is made up of enthusiastic, responsible, and caring pupils who are proud to represent the voices of their classmates. Their main role is to share the views and ideas of their classmates, helping to ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to be heard. They meet regularly to discuss ways to improve the school, plan events, and contribute to important decisions about school life. As role models, they demonstrate our school values, support younger pupils, welcome visitors, and take an active part in charity work and whole-school initiatives. Through their leadership, they help to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

Remembrance Sunday Service.
Children from the Pupil Leadership Team at Moorcroft Wood Academy were honoured to take part in this year’s Remembrance Sunday service alongside members of our local community. The pupils represented the academy with great respect and maturity as they joined in the commemorations and reflected on the sacrifices made during the First and Second World Wars. As part of the service, they proudly revealed a commemorative plaque on behalf of the school, dedicated to remembering those who served and gave their lives. It was a meaningful and impactful occasion, allowing our children to show gratitude, uphold our values, and strengthen our connection with the community.

Harvest Celebrations.
The Pupil Leadership Team proudly worked in partnership with Black Country Food Bank to raise awareness about food poverty and support families in need within our local area. The team promoted the initiative across the academy, encouraging pupils and families to donate essential food and household items. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we collected a significant amount of donations. Representatives from Black Country Food Bank then visited the academy to collect the items, giving pupils the opportunity to see first-hand how their efforts would make a difference. We are incredibly proud of the compassion, responsibility, and leadership our pupils demonstrated throughout this meaningful project.
