Sport Clubs

Here at Moorcroft Wood Primary School our sports coach, Mr Kemp, runs the After School Sports Clubs.
These sessions offer a safe, fun environment for children to learn, develop and explore the rules and skills to new games. As well as practising the social skills needed to work in teams like communication, listening and negotiation.
These clubs are changed every Term ensuring each child has the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of different sports over the academic year.
Please keep an eye out of the letters at the start of every term, as places are limited due to demand and are allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Our PE sports club provide a good learning environment for children to learn new sports and skills. The sports for this term are Multisport, Cricket and Rounders.
Multisport looks at lots of different sports, each week we will play/learn a new sport which keeps the children engaged every week whilst having a fun time in a safe environment.
In Cricket we are looking at expanding skills already learnt from lessons, improving batting, bowling and fielding skills.
Rounders is a good sport for hand eye coordination and helps improve skills like throwing, catching and batting. We also play a version of Rounders called Football Rounders, which is where you bowl a soft ball and kick it instead of batting a ball.
Each term these sports change to keep it fresh and fun for the children. It provides a safe and engaging environment for the children to do some extra PE afterschool whist learning new skills along the way.
Each club runs from 3:15 - 4:15, Monday - Thursday.
